The rectors of the universities of Deusto, Comillas and Loyola Andalucía, who met today at the opening of the 29th European Association for International Education (EIAE) annual conference, have highlighted the value of internationalization for the Society of Jesus universities and what it supposes for the global formation of its students.
José María Guibert SJ, rector of Deusto, Julio Martínez SJ, rector of Comillas and Gabriel Perez Alcalá, Loyola Andalucia, have agreed to highlight the numerous agreements that have been subscribed between Jesuit universities and other non-Jesuit higher education institutions from all over the world.
In this interview in Onda Cero radio (Spanish media), Guibert, Martínez, Pérez and Jennifer Engel, from Loyola University Chicago, explain the internationalization model of higher education that we want to achieve, as well as the initiative of the International Association of Jesuit Universities (IAJU).
This is the first time that the three rectors coincide in a public event. And the occasion was worth it: more than 36 Jesuit universities went together to this edition of EAIE 2017 in Seville.
